Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (1888–1958) was one of India's foremost freedom fighters, an eminent scholar, journalist, and visionary educationist. Born in Makkah and raised in Calcutta (now Kolkata), he displayed exceptional intellectual brilliance from an early age. Through his influential Urdu journal Al-Hilal, he inspired patriotic consciousness and opposed British colonial rule. A close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, Azad played a pivotal role in the Indian freedom movement and became the youngest President of the Indian National Congress in 1923. After Independence, he served as India's first Minister of Education, laying the foundation for modern education and promoting scientific research, cultural institutions, and higher learning. He championed national unity, secularism, and communal harmony, believing that India's strength lay in its diversity. Revered as a symbol of wisdom, integrity, and patriotism, Maulana Azad's enduring legacy continues to inspire generations in the pursuit of knowledge, unity, and nation-building.

Cost-effective dispute resolution

Mediation & Arbitration Cell

The Act aims to promote and facilitate mediation, placing a special emphasis on institutional mediation. It offers a framework for cost-effective and timely dispute resolution through both online and community mediation. Additionally, the Act includes provisions for the enforcement of mediated settlement agreements and the establishment of the Mediation Council of India.

The function was inaugurated by Hon'ble Justice C.K. Abdul Raheem. Adv. A. Assim Hussain made the keynote address. Iqbal Valiyaveettil — Chairman MCF presided over the function.
